Welcome to SlowInk. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you and the SlowInk operator (“we”, “us”). Please read these Terms and our Privacy Policy before registering or using the app.

1. Acceptance & Changes

• By agreeing, registering, signing in, or using SlowInk, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
• We may update these Terms and publish changes in the app or on this page. Continued use means acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the service or delete your account in the app.

2. Service Description

SlowInk is a slow-paced letter and pen-pal social app. Features include (as available in the app):

• Account registration, sign-in, and profile management
• Private letters with delivery estimates and optional stamp speed boosts
• Public letters — compose, publish, browse, and reply
• Pen-pal matching, friends, and invite-code binding
• Daily check-in, virtual coins, stamp shop, and stamp album
• Time capsules, warm messages, and place recommendations
• Feedback and content reporting

Daily limits, content length, delivery rules, and other product rules are shown in the app and may change with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. Account Registration

• Use a valid email and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
• One email per account. No fraudulent, bulk, or impersonation registration; no selling or transferring accounts.
• Report suspected unauthorized access via Feedback or email promptly. You may also delete your account under Me → Delete account.

4. User Content & Conduct

4.1 Your content

You are responsible for content you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license limited to operating, storing, displaying, and transmitting content as needed to provide the service. This license ends when content is deleted or your account is deleted, subject to reasonable technical retention.

4.2 Prohibited conduct

• Violating laws or these Terms
• Posting illegal, violent, sexually explicit, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or spam content
• Malware, scraping, attacking servers, or compromising security
• Collecting others’ personal data without consent for harassment or marketing
• Exploiting bugs, bots, or scripts to gain unfair virtual items or disrupt matching/delivery

4.3 Moderation

We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations, with or without prior notice where permitted by law.

5. Virtual Items

• Coins, stamps, and album progress are virtual items with no cash value and are non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
• Current versions primarily award virtual items through in-app activities. Paid purchases, if introduced later, will follow app store rules and in-app disclosures.
• Virtual items may be forfeited upon account termination or policy violations, except where law requires otherwise.

6. Intellectual Property

App software, UI, branding, and our materials are owned by us or licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer except as allowed by law. You retain rights to your original content.

7. Third-Party Services

Some features may rely on cloud or network infrastructure provided by third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms. We do not guarantee third-party availability or accuracy.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is incorporated into these Terms.

9. Service Changes & Termination

• Service may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, network issues, or force majeure. We will try to restore service promptly.
• We may suspend or terminate access for serious violations.
• You may delete your account at any time in the app under Me → Delete account. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy (Account & Data Deletion).

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

• User-generated content and recommendations do not represent our views. Use caution when interacting with others.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from force majeure, third parties, network/device failures, or your actions.
• Our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 15 / CNY 100, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of mainland China (without regard to conflict-of-law rules). Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, either party may bring suit in a court of competent jurisdiction where the operator is located.
